Why Don't I See What God's Doing - 9:15 Service

May 3, 2026    Pastor Zim

Welcome to Contemporary Worship at Gravel Hill Church!

This week, we continue our journey on the Road to Emmaus in Gospel of Luke 24:25–27, where Jesus speaks directly into confusion, disappointment, and misunderstanding.

After walking with the disciples and listening to their pain, Jesus challenges them with a hard truth—and then does something powerful: He begins to show them how all of Scripture points to Him.

In today’s message, Pastor Zim explores a question many of us wrestle with:

Why don’t I see what God is doing?

When life feels confusing, painful, or unclear, it’s easy to misread our circumstances. But what if the problem isn’t that God isn’t working… but that we’re looking through the wrong lens?

👉 You can be close to Jesus and still feel confused

👉 Pain is real—but it is not the final interpreter of your story

👉 All of Scripture—and all of life—ultimately points to Jesus

Through this message, we’re reminded that:

Jesus meets us right where we are

He lovingly reshapes how we understand our lives

And when we can’t read what’s happening… we can trust Him to interpret it for us

As you worship today, may you be encouraged to trust God in the middle of uncertainty—knowing He is still writing your story, even when you don’t see it yet.
