Thankful Thursday 12-8-2022

Ever-Present Gift

Thankful Thursday has warmer temperatures for the forecast on this date. But if you compare it to the same date on different years prior to this, you will find very different temperature and outdoor scenes from years gone by. Just because the date is the same on the calendar certainly does not guarantee the same temperature and weather pattern from year to year.

So when I turn to familiar passages in the Bible I shouldn’t find it surprising that the verses I read one time hit me a bit differently the next time I come back and read them. Why is that? Well, I’m not the same person as I was the day before and neither are you. Each day we grow. Life experiences expand our abilities and views of the world.

The comforting fact that God never changes. He always remains the same; thus, His living word, the Bible, does too.

As we move through life and evolve through its various stages, the Bible offers constant, steady support, advice, and direction. Though our perspectives change, it is so important to ground ourselves on the rock of His living word. The highs and lows of life will impact every human being. Each of us is offered the ever-present gift of salvation and companionship through a relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:6).

The gift of salvation through, relationship with, and steadfast assurance in our Lord Jesus Christ awaits you right now. I look forward to you finding the ever-present goodness of God in your life when you accept and receive this special gift for you.
