Seasonal Sounds

Thankful Thursday sees the snow falling outside, the countdown creeps closer to Christmas, and hears the melodic sounds of December. Those sounds range from the whisper-soft falling of the snow blanketing the world into a softer silence to the bells and familiar seasonal tunes wafting through the airwaves. The reverberations impact our moods, our thoughts, and the activities in which we partake.

Those rhythms and melodies hum alongside the events and seasons of our lives. When we pause to remember the past or appreciate the present moment, the sights, the smells, and the sounds engrain themselves into our brains as we extract or preserve the memories of our lives. I pray that as the countdown ticks off the days and the range of sounds meets your ears you look for and find the goodness of God. He is with you. He reverberates from the days of old to this moment of the very breath you have taken and into the unknown-to-us future. The sweet sounds of His goodness surround us as just one of the many gifts He bestows upon us. Do you hear them?

Blessings!

Join our Facebook group: Gravel Hill Prayers. It is a closed group to be mindful of the private and sensitive requests made. And it’s purpose: for you to be a prayer warrior both interceding where others are asking for assistance in prayer and requesting prayers for situations that need lifting.
