Thankful Thursday 12-28-2023

Gift of Grace

Thankful Thursday falls smack between two highly celebrated holidays: Christmas and New Years. This span of time in between fills with what I like to refer to as Grace Space. With schools on break, schedules shifted, and different gatherings filling the calendar, our brains feel a bit off kilter (What day of the week is it?)

Given the focus of hope, peace, joy, and love during the advent season and with the main focus on Christ, the true model of how we are to live our lives, our thoughts and actions work to figure out how to be conguent. What changes do I need to make to live my life with more hope, peace, joy, and love? How do I incorporate more time with Christ daily?

As the calendar pages begin to turn, the opportunity to practice new choices present themselves both to others and to ourselves. Yes, I forgotten a commitment or two over the years in this special week where time seems to warp and need to give myself some grace! And if I have struggled with keeping life straight, I’m sure there are others also wrestling with that challenge too.

So we have the opportunity to gift others the grace that has freely been bestowed unto us. When faced with this opportunity, may we take a deep breath, inhaling the peace of our Lord. And then share the grace and love to those around us through the power of Christ in our lives.

Join our Facebook group: Gravel Hill Prayers. It is a closed group to be mindful of the private and sensitive requests made. And it’s purpose: for you to be a prayer warrior both interceding where others are asking for assistance in prayer and requesting prayers for situations that need lifting.
