Clearing and Filling

Thankful Thursday appreciates the excitement of new opportunities and adventures. To prepare well for something new, taking a look at what you have (assessing) and clearing out that which no longer serves you gives you the space and energy to focus on the new. The clearing process challenges us to pause and take a realistic look at ourselves.

Where are we in life? What careers or roles do we no longer hold? Are the folders/papers/items in your possession actively serving you in your life? If yes, do they have an easily accessible home in your home? If no, what “home” could be found for it to better serve another (this may be the trash or a fire to keep someone warm while disposing of papers no longer necessary!)

Jesus waits for us to submit to Him to help us clear our hearts of strife, jealousy, anger, quarrels, dissensions, factions, envy and more. (Read about them in Galatians 5:19-21.) As we work with Jesus to heal our hearts and make space, He helps us to fill that space with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-25.) Making space for building your relationship with Jesus and spending time in the scriptures is one way to have a positive clearing and filling activity in your life today. Thank you Jesus for always being there for us to turn, submit, and receive healing in your name!

Join our Facebook group: Gravel Hill Prayers. It is a closed group to be mindful of the private and sensitive requests made. And it’s purpose: for you to be a prayer warrior both interceding where others are asking for assistance in prayer and requesting prayers for situations that need lifting. To join, please send an email to Katie.
