A Moment To Praise 10.25.21

I am continuing my devotional from last week, coming back to the idea of showing each other love and helping one another in this life. Ultimately the goal is to love instead of judging and being harsh toward one another. This scripture from Philippians says:

Philiippians 2:3-5 NET – Bible Gateway
3 Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself. 4 Each of you should be concerned not only about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well. 5 You should have the same attitude toward one another that Christ Jesus had,

Clearly, scripture tells us that we are to treat others not worse, not even equal to, but better than we treat ourselves! How often do we do that in our lives? Lately, it seems like no one is willing to help or show love to another person. It is so very sad. Everyone just seems cranky!
The video I attached today is a song from a while ago by Toby Mac called “One World”. I have chosen to use the lyric video so you all can see the words to this song. One of my favorite lines says: “…is God looking in pure disgust, wondering “What’s the ‘dilly’ with the silly I see, when I made each of these in the image of me?”
Could that be the way that God feels when he looks upon his children? Does he ask himself, “What are these people doing? I have made each and every one in my image, yet I don’t see them acting like me!”
Moment To Praise 10.25.21 in Scripture
We have no excuse for our behavior, especially when we look at it in light of this scripture. God expects more from us. I need to look out for you, and you need to look out for me. We need to live peacefully on this earth together, because one day we will be sharing heaven together. One world, here and for eternity. It makes you think, doesn’t it?
