Missions
In the spring of 2014, several members of our Church and Missions Team were called to help with Hurricane Sandy clean-up. One team went to Staten Island, New York in partnership with reachglobal.  Click here to see pictures from this trip.
Another team visited Crisfield, Maryland. Below is a video montage highlighting the trip.
“It’s hard to believe that it has almost been two years since Super Storm Sandy made landfall and yet its effects can still be felt in Crisfield Maryland. Crisfield is the poorest community in Maryland and was one of the hardest hit by the storm. This spring 15 member of Gravel Hill went to Crisfield to help in the ongoing effort to make Crisfield whole again. please share their experience below”
Various groups throughout Gravel Hill are also actively involved in local missions with fund raising and providing services and goods and through companionship activities. Several groups include The Koininia Sunday School Class, Ken Staver Sunday School Class, Faith in Action Sunday School Class, the Missions Team, and Isaiah 6:8. Please contact Shauna if you are interested in learning more about the classes, groups, or opportunities. Examples of several ministries we support include Love in a Box, Caitlin’s Smiles, The American House, GAINusa.org, Hope Lodge, Compassion International, Joy El Ministries, The Ronald McDonald House, Nothing But Nets, The Caring Cupboard, Operation Christmas Tree, and Lebanon County Christian Ministries. This ministry is also collecting items to donate to a growing number of homeless congregated under the South Bridge in Harrisburg. Check out the Bulletin for updated lists of needed donations.
