Cancelled:  10 Mile Summer Sizzler

It’s with much frustration and a heavy heart that the Four Seasons Race Committee announces the cancelling of the Summer Sizzler 10-Miler at the Hershey Vineyards.  The inaugural run was to happen on July 11, however, with so much uncertainty surrounding the phasing of the counties and the timing of movement from yellow to green, etc…the committee felt it was in our and our runners’ best interests to cancel the run before too many logistics had to be managed.  We want to thank all of our sponsors along with Lynn at the Vineyards, Jeff at Londonderry Township, Mr. Hooper and Chief Shellenhamer for helping to coordinate the route, and the PA State Game Commission for their permission to utilize the Gameland Road.  A few items of note:

Our scheduled Fall Feeding Frenzy 5K is scheduled for Saturday, October 31.  A new logo awaits and with more than 20 weeks of time between now and the run, our hope is we will be in green and ready to roll.  Sign-ups will be available shortly at PCS and Eventbrite.

All proceeds benefit The Caring Cupboard

The 10 Mile Summer Sizzler is scheduled for Saturday, July 11, 2020. Doors open at 7:00 am with the race start time slated for 8:00 am. The Summer Sizzler will begin and end at The Vineyards at Hershey.
Our beneficiary will continue to be the Caring Cupboard. The Caring Cupboard, located on Railroad Street in Palmyra, is a local food bank currently serving over 130 families, or close to 1,700 individuals per month, with basic food supplies along with perishable and non-perishable goods. A food collection area will be available on site the morning of the race for those participants wishing to donate food and/or non-perishables. Anyone who donates at least three items will be eligible to win a cash prize.
Since its inception in 2011 and through the generosity of local business sponsors and race day registrations, Gravel Hill UMC has donated over $25,000 to the Caring Cupboard. Additionally, through participant donations, over 1,200 pounds of food have been donated to the ministry. Thank you for supporting this local mission.
All participants who complete the race will receive a free drink voucher to be used at the Vineyard.
