Getting In His Word

Thankful Thursday sits here as two days away from the start of June. This countdown is exciting for me because an invitation was extended to me to read the New Testament in forty days beginning on June 1st. This invitation came over Instragram stories from a person I follow who offered for folks to read the Bible in 40 days beginning the past Jan. 1. (I joined this group and completed the challenge with a bit of an extension, but am so glad I did!)

This next 40 day approach will allow a bit more diving into the scripture time as it will be only 4-7 chapters a day. Getting into the scripture and hearing God’s message during this season of Pentecost will hopefully continue to open my heart to where God is leading me. During a huge season of change for my family, God’s voice is the one I want to hear and have as my guide. He loves us.

If you would also like to join this reading plan (click here to fill in the google form & receive the reading outline), it is offered by Sara Stapleton (from Kansas) and her new podcast, This Abundant Life. She offers her perfectly imperfect approach to reading the Bible and gleaning the nuggets of inspiration God has for our lives in His word. So if you are looking for direction in your life, I invite you to dive into God’s word and listen to the messages He lays on your heart during your time together this June.

Blessings!

Join our Facebook group: Gravel Hill Prayers. It is a closed group to be mindful of the private and sensitive requests made. And it’s purpose: for you to be a prayer warrior both interceding where others are asking for assistance in prayer and requesting prayers for situations that need lifting. To join, please send an email to Katie.
