An Invitation

Thankful Thursday sees the remainder of the year holding just over 10 weeks until we meet a new calendar year. In that time, many gatherings will occur to celebrate holidays, festivities, and personal family celebrations too. The excitement and anticipation of the gathering becomes enhanced with an invitation.

The invitation marks the stated event and opens to door to the invitee to accept and prepare as well. The beautiful bloom of excitement blossoms into joy as “yes” is said and preparation begins. As believers, an invitation continually extends to us. Shared in Matthew 6:33, “But strive first for the kingdom of God[a] and his[b] righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

Christmas Market

One way Gravel Hill strives to live out this invitation is through the annual Christmas Market held here each November. Now less than one month away, the excitement and action of preparation kicks into a higher gear. And with that action, an invitation extends to you: come be a part of it all. Volunteers prepare in the days ahead of the market as well as on the day of the market. Find sign ups for these positions, donating items, and ordering soup at the Christmas Market in the Welcome Center on Sunday mornings. Excited for your “YES!” and the joy of joining together in action for good.

Blessings!

Want to be part of a prayer group? We come together in a collective effort to support and lift up others. You do this during your time with God knowing others are also lifting these prayers to God. Join our Facebook group: Gravel Hill Prayers. It is a closed group to be mindful of the private and sensitive requests made. And it’s purpose: for you to be a prayer warrior both interceding where others are asking for assistance in prayer and requesting prayers for situations that need lifting. To join, please send an email to Katie.
