Thankful Thursday 10-5-2023
Thank You
Thankful Thursday finds rumination in the power of our words. Two small words possess powerful positive impact: thank you. From these two small words come the unspoken observation of action taken that had thoughtful impact.
As humans, our natural default is to think of self first. As Christians, Jesus calls on us just as he did the disciples in their commissioning (Matthew 28:16-20). We are to meet others where they are. Find common ground and connection with them which opens the door to share more including our faith (both through our actions and affirming words.)
It is challenging to die to self and put another first in thought and action, but with God’s help, it is possible. In taking this step, we position ourselves to meet others where they are and make connection. And toegther we step forward in the journey toward a closer relationship with God. Thank you God for the power You provide us when we seek it so that we may serve you and be a light in this world for you. Amen.
Blessings!
