Shear Joy
Thankful Thursday lifts gratitude for the diverse talents we each possess. Tonight is the opening night for a local high school’s musical. My friend and I reserved our tickets and look forward to the evening in anticipation of what will surely be delightful!
The privilege of watching a group of young, talented, and excited individuals coming together to provide entertainment for the audience really is a gift. On opening night, the excitement is palpable and eyes shines every direction you look. These performers stand on the brink of the culminating efforts of their time, practice, and repetitions all to make the final production the best they possibly can.
By the end of tonight’s performance, the atmosphere of family and friends surrounding the performers will be one of shear joy. The first production completed. All the nerves and jitters turned into positive performance energy. The effortful fruits of entertaining the audience realized. And those fortunate to call this experience part of their life will all add an evening with a taste of joy to their life! I pray you choose to join an experience in your life either as a performer and cheering supporter where you too can have a taste of joy.
