Season of Change

Thankful Thursday sees the beauty of the fall leaves. The bright and brilliant colors bejewel the branches of trees and arms of foliage. Some begin to cover the ground leaving the tree with a skeletal, barren look. Sometimes life feels full of big wonderful emotions only to blink and find an emptiness with a pain attached.

To be human is to experience hard situations and heartbreaks. A great question I’ve learned recently for these scenarios: “What is your recovery plan?” As we walk through a season of change, know that reflection gleans the lessons that can be pulled possibly a resiliency that has been built, grit that has been fortified, or experience that will allow compassion towards others in the future.

The change moves us towards something new. When staying close to God through it all, He can open our eyes to the beauty and hope on the other side of the sometimes painful change. Our hope is in Jesus (John 3:16). He is our greatest recovery plan of all. Faith in Him gives us eternal life and a hope of things greater than we can even imagine.

Blessings!
