Heat and Pressure

Thankful Thursday sees toes in the sand and waves lapping at the shoreline. This scene set the stage for a recent conversation among our family. Sand becoming glass or stone.

God created both sand and humans. As life challenges and pressures occur changes take place. Glass forms when sand is heated to extremely high temperatures (like when lightening strikes!) It also turns to rock when compacted. As humans we grow and change in heated and pressure-filled situations too. When faced with these situations, our responses will show the foundation of our knowledge and understanding.

Grounding our lives in Christ and the Word will help us stay calm and cool when facing the fiery life situations. Psalm 42:1 shares a long running call of the human soul. Changes happen with time. From an extreme moment to a long consistent process that is decades in the making or somewhere in between, we don’t know how or when change will happen, but assuredly it will. Gratefully, soak in the refreshing Word of God each day to prepare for life’s heat and pressure.

Blessings!
