A Good Night’s Sleep
Thankful Thursday sees myself and some of my family members a little bleary eyed. Our sleep has not met optimal levels. For the past two night’s, sleep has been disrupted by Cooper, our dog, barking at different times throughout the night.
For the first night, we believed the full moon allowed for him to clearly see our backyard and the animals that run through it as the cause for his barking. So for the next night, we hung curtains to block his view. While to effort was there to stop the barking, the results did not meet our hopes. The barking continued. As a result, Cooper’s nighttime freedom disappeared and he found himself cozy in his crate. So for tonight, Cooper will again be cozy in his crate safely confined in his boundaries. And I pray this will allow for our family to ALL get a good night’s sleep!
As I think about Cooper’s safe space and how our family benefits from him being there, it makes me think that when we remain in our safe place: living out God’s will for our life within the boundaries of His Word, it blesses not only us, but also those around us. Dig into God’s Word, act within the guidelines of it, and get a good night’s sleep.
Sweet Dreams & Blessings!
