To Come

Thankful Thursday falls as day 5 in the advent season this year. Every year when Advent comes around, I think back to my high school Latin class (thank you Mrs. Campbell for your love of the language: derivatives, syntax, means, and more and sharing it with all your students!) and the translate the meaning of Advent to the English meaning: to come.

As Christians, we use this time to prepare for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Our salvation come to earth. Salvation waits for you to accept it. It can not be earned. A gift freely given to you and to me.

Ephesians 2:8-9

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God— 9 not the result of works, so that no one may boast.

If you have not received the gift of salvation by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, He awaits your invitation for Him to come. Come into your heart and your life. When you make this choice, your life and the way you see it will begin to look different. The Bible shares stories of lives changes by the people inviting Jesus to come into their lives. Yours can be too.

I thank God for the gift of my salvation and invite Him daily to come into my heart and my life to guide and direct me. To use me as an instrument for His glory to shine! He uses these humble offerings to come to others in the world who have yet to hear the Good News and glad tidings.

Your gift awaits!
