Choice
Thankful Thursday thinks on the pieces of life which we can not touch, but do experience. In my recent reading, I read “if you are seeking God, and you experience silence (this is distinct from Him saying, “No,” of course), it’s probably because He is giving you the dignity of choice. Through a lifetime of making choices, and learning about which ones are good, better, and best, and which ones are mistakes, He is allowing us to grow and mature. This prepares us for His purposes.” And “He uses those choices to teach more about Himself and His creation.” Thank you Dr. Anita Marchesani for these thoughts!
The phrase “dignity of choice” within the framework of a relationship with the Lord resounded in my soul as I read it. The One who created us also respects us and our choices. In 1 Corinthians 6:12, Paul addresses the concept of “You can do anything.” While we each have the ability and choice offered to us, the end result of those options should guide our selection. The choices we make build our character. Our character much like our name goes before us even before we physically come into the presence of those we know.
So as we make our choices throughout the day, may our selections by worthy of the character we want to build. May your character and your name delight those who get to know them. Choose well my friends!
Blessings to you!

It is a closed group to be mindful of the private and sensitive requests made. And it’s purpose is for you to be a prayer warrior both interceding where others are asking for assistance in prayer and requesting prayers for situations that need lifting.
