Thankful Thursday 10-14-2021
Joyfully in Step
Thankful Thursday celebrates the arrival of the sun shining through to central PA. While the fog laid thick around some areas this morning, the rays of the sun made clear our skin will be kissed by its golden rays today. The joy of this simple gift elicits a smile that reaches from ear to ear.
The saying goes: “Absences makes the heart grow fonder.” The absence of the sun over the past several days certainly brings forward gratitude and joy in not only seeing the sun, but also getting to feeling its warmth again. I know that the sun was always there just beyond the clouds, but the difference between knowing and experiencing it is unparalleled.
The same is true with our faith. Knowing that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is our one way to eternal life with God, our Heavenly Father, is one level. But experiencing a relationship with Him is another. Looking for Him in all that surround us; spending time in His Word to listen to Him (Today’s verse is a great one to check out: Romans 12:2 MSG); and praying your thoughts, concerns, scripture, feelings, and more help us to fully experience the warmth and joy of a life lived in step with the LORD. I pray that you may be warmed as you spend time walking along with the LORD today.
Blessings to you!
