Do you answer your phone when it rings? In my house we sometimes let it ring through to voice mail because we are unavailable. Sometimes we’re right in the middle of doing something else and can’t answer and other times we just don’t want the intrusion.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, be all the more eager to confirm your call and election, for if you do this, you will never stumble. |
When I read this scripture, I realize that when it comes to answering my phone at home I am usually not that eager. So how eager am I when I hear the voice of God calling me? Am I ignoring it cause I’m busy? Am I letting it go to some heavenly “voicemail” until I’m more equipped to handle it. Or am I dismissing the call outright, never to know what God was asking of me?
I encourage you to make yourself available to God’s calling in your life. You have been equipped with a certain set of gifts that God wants you to use for His kingdom. Something that you think is nothing can be very valuable to someone else in their personal walk and in turn be very fulfilling to God’s plan in their life. And yours!
Don’t ever let God’s call go to voicemail. Try to always be available for His personalized call to your heart.
