A Moment To Praise 6.14.21

In the Business of Miracles

It is not unusual to hear people questioning God in our day and age. Does God still care? Is He still moving in our world? Is He doing the great things in this time and place in the same way He did in Biblical times? I’m sure that this is an age-old question that many people over the centuries have asked as they have looked on to a world that seems to be in disarray.

As Christians, we know that God is still working and moving in this world! Even more personally, we can feel His movement in each and every one of our lives! I have seen it in my own life, and I have seen and heard it from other believers who have been astounded by God’s work in their lives.

Experiencing Miracles

In my own life, I have recently experienced some circumstances that have felt bleak, as if there was no way they could improve. Then suddenly, the problems cleared up right before my eyes. God was able to work in each person’s life who was involved, and He showed an end result which worked for the betterment of all.  I can’t say that it was purely a coincidence because I know it wasn’t, it was the movement of the Holy Spirit at work making all things come together.

I have seen God work corporately in our congregation at Gravel Hill. It is an honor and a privilege to be able to stand up front and lead worship weekly. I see firsthand the power of the Holy Spirit as it washes over people in the pews. Sometimes, I can see visible tears in our worshipers’ eyes.  Others have their hands raised, clapping, dancing and worshiping with abandon. Others who are moved to complete stillness, heads lowered in the presence of God. It is truly a beautiful experience each and every week!

Expecting Miracles

The big key to seeing God and His miracles every day is to be so in tune with the Holy Spirit that you are waiting for Him to move in a great way, or even in a small way. You should be expecting the movement of God to appear in your life.

I hope that you will take some time going forward to relax and reflect on the miraculous things which God has done in your life. I also pray that you will start taking some time to expect the movement of God in your life. When you experience it, I pray also that you will share it with others so they know that God is still in the business of miracles!
