Calm and Gratitude

Thankful Thursday welcomes us with some gorgeous weather. This sunny welcome helps lift my spirit as I prepare to greet the day, the tasks ahead, and the people I will meet in the moments to come. With a grateful heart, I appreciate each of the gifts in my day.

The routine tasks offer a calming sense of stability. And cleaning the bed sheets mean that tonight we get to climb into a fresh and clean space of comfort prepared especially for each of us to have a good night’s rest.

The relationships I get to nurture today hold bountiful blessing for the future. The first and foremost important one is with Jesus. Making sure I get into His Word to hear from Him and allowing my heart to receive His direction, encouragement, and love remain key actions to take for the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) to come forth in my life. This fruit enhances my interactions and relationships with others in my life.

Do I do this perfectly every day? Not at all. I am human. God loves me. And by His grace and mercy, I return to Him each day to be renewed and refreshed. This gift overflows onto my approach to daily tasks and fortunate connections with others. For these gifts and so much more, my gratitude overflows!

I invite you to think about what and who you are grateful for. When you discover those answers, say a prayer for them and a word of thanks for having them in your life. Wishing you calm and gratitude today!

Blessings to you!
