A Moment To Praise 4.26.21

Joyce Lochinger, Gravel Hill Worship Leader
Point of View
I bet you can take a look around wherever you are right now and find ten things that upset you or make you sad. Perhaps you’d find things that offend you. It’s human nature.
We don’t always naturally look for the positive, do we? So now that we’re talking about this, do me a favor. Turn this around and look at the same room, or wherever you are, and find ten things that make you smile. Things that make you happy or bring you joy. Or things that you count as definite blessings. What happens when you do that? Do you instantly feel better inside? Things don’t look so gloomy; you don’t feel so negative about yourself or others. Things seem to be a little brighter.
I feel like we need to remind ourselves to do this daily. It’s part of understanding God’s mercy to all of us. Even more than that, it’s part of growing in spiritual maturity and in gratefulness.
A Moment To Praise 4.26.21 in Scripture
If we are to act like God, then we have to begin mimicking His behavior to others and to ourselves. This is what scripture says that God is like:

Be good to all and to yourself as well. Train your mind to focus on the uplifting, on the positives. Always keep your thoughts in line with the scripture above. Our God is described in scripture as “Jehovah Jireh” – meaning, “The Lord will provide.” This is found in Genesis 22:14.
Remember that and look at your life from that point of view. And stay positive!
