The Wind

Joyce Lochinger

Miss Joyce

Hi everyone! Do you have a favorite quote? I do, and it’s about the wind, so it’s a perfect quote for springtime! Billy Graham, who is a famous preacher, is the person behind it. Here’s the quote:

I think that Mr. Graham was talking to the people who didn’t believe in God because they couldn’t see Him! The quote speaks to the fact that even though we can’t see the wind, we can see what the wind does. It blows trees, moves the tides of the oceans, causes a fresh wind to move across our faces on a warm spring day, and it makes kites and windsocks dance in the breeze! That’s how we know that wind exists.

We also know that there is a God! We can’t see Him but we can see the effects of Him in our world. When I look at nature, I know that God created it all, and it is beautiful. When I see people doing good things for one another, I know God is at work. And when I look at friends and family and we show each other love, I know that this is where God dwells. The Bible confirms it, too!

I John 4:12

Bible Gateway passage: 1 John 4:12 – English Standard Version

No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.

Remember that God is all around you and He is making all things work together for His purpose. Just because you can’t see Him doesn’t mean that He doesn’t exist. One day when it’s our time to see Him, we will not even be able to look upon Him because he will be so radiant. We will stand amazed and praise Him for all of his goodness!
