Healing

Thankful Thursday sees my body working to repair several wounds. From deep slicing paper cuts to dry chapped skin on the back of my hands (plenty of hand washing, not enough lotion applying!), this amazing body that God has given me continues to work towards restoration. Always aware of the hurting areas, the immune system fights for healing and repair. I can aide the healing and repair by nourishing my body with plenty of water, healthy nutrients, and rest.

As I sit here drinking my fifth glass of water today (yes, I’m tracking the glasses I drink right now because I thought I was drinking enough, but my dry lips are telling me otherwise!), I thank Jesus for being my spiritual immune system as He laid down His life for the foundation for me towards healing and repairing my relationship with God. I recognize God is always there reaching out towards me (and you!) This healing and repairing requires daily watering of prayer, feeding my mind with the wisdom from the Bible, and resting in time and appreciation focused on God.

From these actions, praise and gratitude spring from my lips. Jesus is my foundation. My joy grows as I spend more time with my heavenly Father, my Savior, and my Healer. I pray that you may experience the balm and nourishment of drawing close to God and knowing the peace that passes understanding.

Blessings to you!
