Rainbows

I can’t believe it’s March 2nd already!!! Is it too soon to say I’m wishing for spring? Especially today.  I went outside and it’s really cold and on top of it all, it’s raining. But it’s not that nice warm rain of a spring day.  It’s the cold, cold rain of a winter day that can’t decide whether it should snow or sleet. Brrrr! So I ask again, is it too early to wish for Spring?

On days like today I’m not a fan of the rain.  It just makes things colder than they already are. And when I say things, I mean…me! Hahaha!

But spring time rain is awesome! You can almost see the flowers grow while God is watering them with the rain.  You can smell the newly sprouted grass as it gets a drink from the downpour and if you are blessed, you may even see a rainbow!  That’s my most favorite thing about spring and rainstorms. The rainbow.  Read this scripture about Noah.  How God sent him an everlasting promise after the flood.

Bible Gateway passage: Genesis 9:8-17 – Living Bible

Then God told Noah and his sons, “I solemnly promise you and your children and the animals you brought with you—all these birds and cattle and wild animals—that I will never again send another flood to destroy the earth. And I seal this promise with this sign: I have placed my rainbow in the clouds as a sign of my promise until the end of time, to you and to all the earth. When I send clouds over the earth, the rainbow will be seen in the clouds,

God still shows us this promise every year, during or after a rainstorm. Make sure as we start to get closer to spring that you never get tired of looking for rainbows in the sky.  And when you see one, say a thank you to God for keeping His promise to all of us.
