Moment To Praise For Kids 1.19.21
Love

Miss Joyce
I love Mr. Shawn. I love my children. I love my mom, my family, and my friends. And I love the church! Can you make a list like this too? I bet you can. Would your list include the church? Now I know what you’re thinking, you’re thinking how can I love a building that’s made of wood and bricks. And you’re right, that’s what the church is made of.
A Moment To Praise For Kids 1.19.21 in Scripture
What does the Bible mean in this scripture then? The Bible means that the church is something else. In this scripture God tells us that we should love the way Jesus loved the church, He loved it so much He died for it.
But what or more importantly, who is the church? Well, the church is (as we said above) a building, a structure made by men. But the church that Jesus loved so much that He died for is different…it is you and me! It’s the people. Those that come to that building. It’s the people who watch worship on the computer or the tv. Also, it’s all of your Sunday school teachers, our pastors, your choir directors. It’s your friends from Sunday school, VBS, Kidz choir and Pioneer clubs. That’s the church that Jesus loved so much!!!! That’s the church Jesus died for!
Remember that the times we are in right now will not last forever. But the love and friendships from your “church” will! You don’t have to be in the building to worship and praise God. I hope you see now that the building structure is not the only place that He hangs out. He is present in all of those people mentioned above…and most importantly, He’s present in you!
We’ll be back in the building to worship again soon – but until then, be the church and let everyone who sees you know that you love them!

And then go ahead and try to make your own church out of paper. This video walks you through it. Decorate it like Gravel Hill and even add your friends into the picture. Have Fun!
By the way – I forgot to mention at the very beginning that I love all of you too! We’re the church, together! Have a good day!
