Thankful Thursday 12-10-2020
Timing
Thankful Thursday thoughts currently drift towards the awesome and inspiring timing of God. In this season of Advent (which is Latin for “to come”), we come closer in relationship with Jesus as we celebrate the gift of his birth. As we draw closer, we may find ourselves experiencing nudges to say or do something out of our normal habits. We give of ourselves from the goodness of God within us.
These actions have sometimes been called Acts of Random Kindness. As Christians we know that the goodness appearing random and chaotic to the world has the hand of the Master in it. The providence of God while physically displayed in nature year round seems heightened in the human connection as more people come closer to Him and follow those nudges during Advent.
Kindness
The Acts of Random Kindness (ARKs) deliver God’s goodness, grace, and protection in so many forms. I encourage you to read the Bible, draw close to Jesus, and feel the nudge of action He is calling you to do. May you find your action to not only be a blessing with the one you are sharing it, but also a blessing for your life too.
Blessings to you!
Reminder: On Saturday, December 12 from 10 am- 12 pm a No Contact Caring Tree Gift Drop is available at the Gravel Hill main doors. Please remember to return your gift with the original tag from the tree. Thank you!
