Thanksgiving

Miss Joyce
November is here! A Thanksfilled Month! Yes, I definitely just made up my own word! It’s because I love this month and especially Thanksgiving!
When I was a kid, my dad and I would watch the Thanksgiving parade while the smell of turkey and stuffing wafted through my whole house. It is still one of my best memories of childhood! As an adult, I still love the smell of dinner cooking, time with my loved ones, and the sound of the parade going on in the background. Even so, I also realize it’s a perfect time to look at the things that I should be thankful to God for in my life!
I’m going to encourage you to do the same thing as we move through this month. You can make a list of the goodness that you have in life that has been made possible because of God’s presence in your life. Look at this scripture. It says that I will not only praise God and give Him thanks, but I will magnify Him! Make Him stand out and be the most important in my life!

Think of the ways in which God is magnified in your life. For me, it’s through good memories of childhood celebrations! It’s through a warm home to live in and feel safe, with all the food I need plus more! Not only that, but I have a God who gives me love and grace every day.

This November, let’s all be thanksfilled! (Just watch out for that thanksfilling – hahaha!) We can magnify God in all we do and praise His name with all of our heart! Here’s a song doing just that!
