A Moment To Praise For Kids 6.30.20

What is your favorite summertime thing to do? Mine as a kid (and even now) was to swim! I spent many days as a kid at the lake with my family. We would boat, swim, tube, and water ski until we were exhausted! One thing I remember as a young girl was jumping into the very cold water. As soon as you jumped in, it became easy to realize that it was DEEP! The lake that looked so small when you were on land became quite large and a little scary when you were smack dab in the middle of it.Â
I realize that sometimes when I’m afraid, or when I’m in the middle of a scary thing, I feel the same way. Alone, cold, and smack dab in the middle of something that I am unsure of.
God tells us that he is always with us. He tells us that we need not be worried, because He will take care of us!
A Moment To Praise For Kids 6.30.20 in Scripture
Zephaniah 3:17Â “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by His love; He will exult over you with loud singing.”
This scripture tells us that God is in our midst, or always holding us up. That’s my favorite part about it! This scripture reminds me about my favorite part about swimming: the feeling of floating and being held up by the water. Remember that God will always be with you on all of your life’s journeys. He will hold you up and help you float through anything you’re faced with! Go ahead and splash around in His love for you and sing loudly about His goodness to you. By all means, jump head first into this life knowing that He will be there to hold you up and guide you no matter where life takes you.
