Thankful Thursday 7.4.19
Today’s Thankful Thursday celebrates the “birth” of the United States of America. A nation known to others as a place of freedom and opportunity. Where hopes and dreams meet with opportunity to create a better life.
In reading my devotions this morning, Paul shared words of encouragement to fellow believers. In Galatians 5:13 he shares: “You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh: rather, serve one another humble in love.” In Christ we are free. Recognizing the gifts and talents bestowed upon us, we use them to be a blessing to others.
As you gather together to celebrate our freedom as Americans, remember the freedom that is offered to all: Our salvation! The greatest gift we can ever accept. Given to us by our heavenly Father through his son, Jesus Christ.
I hope today you lift double the prayers of gratitude: for our national freedoms and for our salvation.
Blessings to you!
