Thankful Thursday 5.30.19
Here we are almost six months into the year. Amazing. Different times of the year and different times of life can feel as though they are blazing by with tremendous speed. Conversely there are life moments that seem to creep slower than a snail crossing a highway. Regardless of the season you are in, it is vital for your soul to recognize the gifts you have, reflect on what you have been through, and celebrate the growth or learning you have gained.
These celebrations may be as small as pausing in your walk to inhale the aromatic fragrance of a vibrantly blooming flower, carving out 30 minutes of your schedule to dive into a good book under the shade of a tree, or taking a deep breath and putting on your game face as a celebration of the tools you have to do the hard thing in front of you. Or you may bring your community together in grand gatherings to celebrate a graduation, the union of two becoming one in marriage, or retirement from a dedicated life of work. Reflecting and recognizing actions and experiences gifts us a bit of 20/20 sight along with the fortitude to journey forward.
Joy bursts forth when you celebrate the good, the accomplishment, or the effort you see someone else giving. Shared celebrations include a thumbs up, a handwritten note, or a compliment to their boss, spouse, or children in front of them. Spread the love and joy. Share a celebration.
Blessings to you!
